Online Virtual Guitar

The Online Virtual Guitar is an six-string guitar that a person can play within a web browser. A person can play the Online Virtual Guitar with a computer mouse or with a computer keyboard. The Online Virtual Guitar dont require any downloads or plugins in order to play.

Sound begin to play as soon as a person interacts with the ONLINE VIRTUAL GUITAR. The fretboard is located in the center of ONLINE VIRTUAL GUITAR. The fretboard displays the six string for the guitar, and the frets along each string are numbered from 0 to 12.

How to Use the Online Virtual Guitar

A person can click each fret with the computer mouse to select a note on that string. To the left of each row of the six strings are two small button. One button will open the string to its unfretted pitch, while the other button will mute the string so that it does not produce sound when strums is played on the string.

To play with the computer keyboard, a person must first click on the ONLINE VIRTUAL GUITAR widget to arm the ONLINE VIRTUAL GUITAR. After arming the ONLINE VIRTUAL GUITAR, the number keys 1-6 will allow the player to click on the strings. Number 1 will cause the highest string to be plucked, while number 6 will pluck the lowest string on the ONLINE VIRTUAL GUITAR.

The arrow up and down keys will allow a player to move the selection between the different guitar string. The arrow left and right keys will allow the player to shift the fret position on the selected string. The “O” key will open the selected string, while the “M” key will mute that string.

The space bar will strum all the strings that are not muted, while the “Enter” key will strum the strings upward. The “P” key will play a short picked arpeggio pattern through the current chord. To the right of the fretboard is a strum lane.

This strum lane allow a player to play the ONLINE VIRTUAL GUITAR by dragging the computer mouse pointer from the top of the ONLINE VIRTUAL GUITAR to the bottom of the ONLINE VIRTUAL GUITAR. This strum lane will cause the ONLINE VIRTUAL GUITAR to strum all of the guitar strings in a downward motion. Dragging the mouse pointer from the bottom of the ONLINE VIRTUAL GUITAR to the top will strum the guitar strings in an upward motion.

The two buttons located under the strum lane will strum the guitar strings in a downward or upward motion without dragging the mouse pointer. To the left of the fretboard is the quick voicings panel. This quick voicings panel contains twelve preset chord shape.

The chords that are included in the quick voicing panel include C, G, D, Em, and Am chords. Each of these chords have a string fingering diagram and will strum the chord when clicked. The current chord and sounding notes will automatically update to allow a player to see which chord is loaded into the ONLINE VIRTUAL GUITAR.

At the top of the ONLINE VIRTUAL GUITAR is a toolbar that allows a person to control the ONLINE VIRTUAL GUITAR. The tuning selector can be changed between Standard, Drop D, DADGAD, and Open G tunings. The capo button will transpose the ONLINE VIRTUAL GUITAR up by as many as seven frets.

The tone selector button can be set to Steel String, Nylon, and Clean Electric guitar tones. The volume slider control the output of the ONLINE VIRTUAL GUITAR. The help button is located near the top right portion of the ONLINE VIRTUAL GUITAR widget.

Clicking this button will open a reference panel within the ONLINE VIRTUAL GUITAR widget. This reference panel contains a keyboard map and chord voicing reminder. A fullscreen button is also located within the ONLINE VIRTUAL GUITAR widget.

Clicking the fullscreen button will expand the ONLINE VIRTUAL GUITAR widget to fill the screen. This is more helpful for players that have larger computer displays. One of the ways to use the ONLINE VIRTUAL GUITAR is to click on a chord in the quick voicings panel, and then click on the fret buttons to adjust each of the individual string of the chord.

A person can change the tone of the ONLINE VIRTUAL GUITAR from Steel String to Nylon to hear a different tone from the guitar. The Nylon tone will produce a soft sound from the ONLINE VIRTUAL GUITAR. The picked arpeggio pattern will work well with some of the open chords.

A person can play the ONLINE VIRTUAL GUITAR by clicking on a fret to play a note, or by pressing a number key to pluck the individual string.
